Many will remember Malcolm from his early days in accounts and audit, then successfully turning to sales and marketing before joining Continental and then Northwest Airlines. A successful and well liked man who will be missed by many.

Sorry to hear about Malcolm, I worked with him at BCAL for 15 years and then met him again when he worked at Northwest
From Phil Bowell
I first met Malc in the BCAL days when he was in finance. After BCAL, he went on the work for Continental in the UK, helping to get them through their Chapter 11 period. He was then head-hunted by Northwest where he ran the European operation, then being promoted to VP Asia-Pacific based in Tokyo. It was quickly after he moved to Japan that he decided to set up the first independent handling company in Japan at the new Kansai Airport which he asked me to open and run for him and the other shareholders. We worked closely together for 4 years, during which time he sadly lost his second wife Val, who he had met while with Continental.
Following Northwest, Peter Smith asked Malcolm to join Menzies Aviation with other BCAL colleagues Trevor Warburton, Mike Cusack, Ranald Noel-Paton, Nick Bailey and myself where he headed up our New York operation. Malc, then returned to LA where he worked at a golf course, very much enjoying the outdoor life. I will miss him dearly - a great friend to Pauline and I, always with a friendly smile and he would help anyone.

Dreadfully sad news. Awful illness. It must have happened quite quickly. Last I saw him he was very alert. Lovely bloke and very good manager. RIP Malcolm

Very sad to hear of Malcolm’s passing. He always seemed to me to me to be the man of “ Sanity” in the heady days of the Continental operation in Europe. Had many games of golf games with the lad. I was upset to hear he had dementia he didn’t deserve that. I hope he found a bit of peace and stability in his later years he deserved it.

Sad news! I hired Malc to BUA to work for me in a very small Refunds Department in around 1967/68. Our paths crossed many times after that. How he moved on! Always good to see him wherever it might have been. No contact for a number of years though I have often thought of the good times we shared. A good friend, sadly missed. RIP Malc.
From Frances Taylor: R.I.P Malcolm. Sincere condolences to Malcolm's family and friends.
From Fee Flee: Fly Free
From Graham Waters: R.I.P.

I am shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of Malcolm. I knew Malcolm in his days at BCAL when he was involved in prorate agreements and regularly visited Houston, when I was there. Thereafter at Continental where we found ourselves with Richard Havers, then as he was headhunted by Northwest, Malcolm was a true professional, always consistent and very effective. RIP Malcolm.

Malcolm was my first ever supervisor in BCAL overseas revenue accounts and he was most supportive when I moved to passenger services. My thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. A very sad loss.
From John Bailey: Very Sad to hear the news, I met him a few times. RIP Malcolm.
From Marlene Crawley: Very sad news I knew Malcolm in both BCAL and Continental.
From Colin Cornwell: RIP Malcolm. A great guy.
From Sue Barter: I knew Malcolm during his BCal days. He was always helpful and it's sad to hear that he ended his days with dementia.
From Ron Blair
Malcolm interviewed me and recommended me to his then boss in July 1973. I will always remember and be grateful for the knowledge, support, encouragement and opportunities that he gave me during our time together at BCAL. Without doubt, my own life would not have been the same without it. RIP Malcolm
