So sad to hear of John’s passing. He was the loveliest of guys, a real gentleman. I went to Jersey one time with John in the Aztec, he let me fly most of the way back, and I saw him regularly with the A310 in Monrovia. Condolences to John’s family.
From Chris Guyler
“First Officer John Davey” was best mates with John Simpson and also First Officer John Kourdulos who was tragically killed together with Capt Len Levine in the Innsbrook accident on the Learjet in 1972. John S is married to the sister of John Kourdulos! 'Bless you Capt John Davey may you rest in peace'.

John flew with Robin Brodie James my late husband and he and Norah, John's late wife, were friends for over fifty years. So sad, such a gentle and self deprecating man but also like Robin a very naughty school boy sense of humour, I shall miss him.
From Peter Doyle
