I worked with Alan on several projects and knew him to be a first class manager who in his personnel days had to handle, with great discretion, many very sensitive matters. He always did this with the highest professionalism. I enjoyed working with him.

From Trevor Boud
I remember Alan well for the help he gave me in those early days when as a director I took my turn to cover every arrival and departure over a weekend to assist with problems as they occurred, and they did, and what to do about the delays, pax, hotels, etc - without him perhaps chaos. I was very happy to see him marry our lovely hostess Jan. My condolences to Jan and the family.
