Gerry Remembered
From Tom Stringer
Gerry had a distinguished aviation career both in the UK and overseas. He was a family friend and my supervisor in BCal Commuter Ops. After the BA merger he went on to work in Special Services until his retirement as an officer. There he ensured the smooth passage of VIP passengers and members of the royal family, including the late Princess Diana and her sons William & Harry. RIP Gerry Lydon “Commuter 4”

From Chris Guyler
Gerry and I were cousins but we were more like brothers! Gerry instigated the start of my career in airlines when he told me that there was a job being advertised for a position in BUA Crew Rostering in 1968. Needless to say I was successful and joined Gerry in BUA. Hence my history that is in the “Crew Room”. Thanks Gerry and we know you are at rest and peace. God bless, Chris Guyler
