Avril was First Class in everything she did. Saw a lot of her when I was married to DC10 Capt. Chris Yardley. Avril and I went to the opera together and always had a titter at the high notes the sopranos could reach. She was a fabulous cook too. Such fun and within that fun there was beauty inside and out. I hadn't seen her for a while but her passing still came as a shock. There's no doubting her popularity and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. I sincerely hope she had a peaceful passing.

Over many months I have been trying to contact darling Avril via email, phones we had caught up in Hoopers for fun and lunch, I knew after her final trip to India her back was very painful, next I knew she was going into a London hospital sadly I didn’t know which one, Avril was so scared of doctors. I met Avril while on a local walk in Tunbridge Wells during covid we both said hello and exchanged phone numbers I knew she would be a great FUN friend, I just had a thought to research online tonight and to my great sadness saw her name appear and her passing in August, i Read all the most beautiful quotes about a dear friend. Avril I have a glass of wine to celebrate your amazing life I know you would approve, you were like Lara Croft so adventurous a friend I so admired. R.I.P
