I am so sorry to hear that Jim passed away. I remember him as a vibrant strong and energetic guy - I understand he played semi pro football when younger. We had some good times in the 70’s both in social and professional settings but unfortunately then lost touch.  RIP Jim.

From Peter Barry: Just saw this - terrible news. RIP Jim

From Colin & Carey Varty
Both Carey and I knew Jim well. Jim and I did a ten month job swap in 1977, I in his role as a Gatwick Ops Controller, Jim in my job of Senior Ops Control Officer. When Carey joined BCAL, she was PA to Jim, then to me when I resumed my SOCO role, the latter relationship progressing to a still happy marriage many years on!
