Geoff Remembered
From Sally Simmonds: Amazing record of service. RIP Geoff.
From Robert Wainwright
Very sad news. Had good times with Geoff in Edinburgh. He was back from Australia and was looking after Air Ecosse. Not a demanding role so left us time to get into mischief. He went back to the Middle east and lost touch until one night at about 11pm knock at the door to find Geoff there bottle of whiskey in hand celebrating getting his work permit for Australia from the middle eastern Australian Consulate. Kept in touch for the first few years but sadly lost touch. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, RIP friend.

We were fellow immigrants into Perth in the early 1980’s. We moved to Sydney in 1985 and kept in touch with Geoff and Lys but over the years we have regrettably lost touch. Geoff and Lys helped us find our feet in Perth with our 3 young daughters in this new country. As mentioned in your tribute Geoff was always ready to have a little glass of something in friendly surroundings, we are sorry to discover he has had his “last drink”.
