Colin Yeats : Supervisor, BCal Engineering
Sadly Colin, a supervisor in the Detail Shop (Engineering) in Hangar 2 at Gatwick, passed away on 18th July 2023. My sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and former colleagues.
Colin originally came to Gatwick from Croydon Airport, working in the only hangar at that time hangar 1. He also worked in Kenya for East African Airways until 1973 when he returned to the UK working for Laker Airways.
When Lakers went bust Colin went to Saudi Arabia for two years and then in the 1980s came to work for BCal until the takeover and finally retired from BA in Dec 2000 recalls Debbie Norman
