Peter Shearburn - Captain
We have heard that Peter passed away peacefully, aged 83, on Thursday 28 June 2018 with his family close-by. My sincere condolences go out to his family, wife Elaine, Simon and Pippa, his friends and former colleagues.
Peter was a BCAL 707 and DC10 Captain and he retired from BA approximately 25 years ago. Prior to joining BCAL he flew Tridents for Cyprus Airways based in Nicosia and DC-3s for BKS based at Leeds/Bradford Airport.

Peter's service was held on Tuesday 24th July 2018, St. George’s Church, Worcester, WR1 1HX. Map here

I only met Peter once and that was a year ago (2017) in his capacity as a British Red Cross volunteer taking him to Guildford hospital; we had two hours of pure magic talking about his aviation career.
