Ian Shadforth : Reservations Supervisor
Ian sadly passed away suddenly on August 12th 2022 in his Care Home in Purley aged 76. My sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and former colleagues.

Ian worked in Reservations at Gatwick for BUA from 1966 and went on to British Caledonian. Sometime before the BA takeover he left to join a Coach/Bus Company.

Sadly Ian had no living relatives but he was a Steam Train enthusiast and went on many Steam specials. He also was involved in a Church in London where he gave much of his time recalls David Heal I knew him from BUA days and he was good company.

Though not on email Ian was on the postal newsletter list for many years so was kept abreast of the news.
Service details

Ian's service was held at Croydon Crematorium, in the East Chapel, on Wednesday 5th October 2022.
