Dick Angel Senior Flight Engineer
Sadly we learn that Dick, a former Senior Flight Engineer, passed away on the 23rd May 2020 after a collapse at home the weekend before; he was 74. My sincere condolences go out to his daughter Samantha, family, friends and former colleagues.
Dick, who sadly lost his wife Pam in 2018, kept busy and was a committee member for the popular Flight Deck Reunion. He had also spent many years as a councillor with Wealdon District Council.
An ankle injury sustained in Houston whilst pre-flighting a DC10, a hole had been left unmarked at night, meant that Dick was often seen with a crutch as he underwent numerous operations to try and repair the ankle.
Dick left the airline in May 1999 after 19 years service.

From Lawrence "Loz" Allan
My sincere condolences to Dick’s family having learned the sad news of his passing away. Linda and I were fortunate to get to know Dick and Pam socially in addition to working with him. It was a delight to get to know them both better. Dick was both a reliable and sincere friend and an excellent, conscientious Flight Engineer. This is a sad loss to all who have had the privilege to have known him.
