Carlos Navarro Airport Manager - Bogota
It is with sadness we learn that Carlos passed away in early August 2020. Carlos was the Sales Manager in Bogota before rising to Airport Manager and was known to many visiting staff and crew from overseas.

From Richard Bristow
Very sad to hear that Carlos has passed away. I worked in Mid-Atlantic sales and got to know Carlos very well. A true gentleman and BCal through and through. I clearly remember my first visit to Bogota, Carlos could see I was struggling with altitude sickness and took me to his home for a Pasta meal to get oxygen into my blood stream. I recovered very quickly and off up into the mountains a day later for a grand tour. Thank you Carlos, you will be greatly missed.

I remember Carlos so well. Bogotá was not always the easiest place to work or visit, and he handled all the problems very well. He was the doyen of the travel industry in Colombia and made sure that visitors were made welcome. At a travel association dinner there was a bottle of Johnny Walker on the table for every four diners. That was the Colombian way. Above all he was seriously good at his job, a sociable pleasant colleague, and the embodiment of BCal‘s very special presence in South America. My thoughts go to his family.
