A celebration in Peter's honour was held on Saturday 28th April 2018 at the Marine Hotel, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire.
Donations in Pete's memory can be made to National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) - this charity specialises in Pete’s condition and all research around it. https://www.nras.org.uk/donate-land
The family kindly extended an invitation to Pete's friends and former colleagues to join them.
Sadly we learn that Pete passed away on 15th March 2018 after a long period of illness. My sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and former colleagues at this difficult time.
Pete joined BCal from the RAF in 1980 as a Flight Engineer on Boeing 707s, then went onto the DC-10 for 4 years, before flying the Boeing 747 from 1987. He transferred into BA in April 1988 and carried on with them on the Boeing 747 before ending up on Concorde.
He took early retirement in 2005 spent time giving lectures and talks on British Cruise ships about his career and Concorde.
Pete recalled that "he could honestly say that the years I spent with BCal were the best I ever spent in my 30 year flying career, and the people I worked for and worked with were some of the best in Civil Aviation."

I was shocked and saddened to hear this news.......I completed the B747 Classic conversion with Peter as our Flight Engineer in Frankfurt at the end of 1987. Peter's wit and good humour made even the simulator sessions enjoyable. A very competent engineer, a thoughtful man who will be missed by his friends and colleagues. Condolences to his family. RIP Peter.
