Annie Crow : BCal Nurse - LGW Medical Centre
Sadly we learn that Annie passed away on December 11th, 2020, at her care home in Dundee. Annie served as a travel shop and medical centre nurse at Gatwick for many years before retiring to her home town.

Annie was very involved in charitable work in Romania. Following the assassination of Nicolae Ceaucescu in 1989 and the subsequent revelation over the circumstances of the Romanian orphans and abandoned children, Annie used her powers of persuasion among the Gatwick staff to fund and supply resources for the children which she delivered in person on her many visits to the country.

Service details

Annie's funeral service was at Dundee Crematorium on the 23rd December 2020.

Sadly Covid restrictions applied.

From Ron Paterson
It's so sad to read that Annie has gone. My favourite memory of her is the way she'd browbeat my team in baggage services to 'donate' all the confiscated Swiss army knives to her as barter for her work in the orphanage.  Apparently a good penknife could get a load of plumbing and electrical work done. Sad loss.
